Zenchat (formerly Zopim) is an excellent tool for communication with customers to help resolve their concerns over chat as opposed to calling them or staying on the line for longer than necessary. It is also well suited to helping customers with online purchases and ensuring they get what they were promised. It is less appropriate in scenarios which require a more personal touch.

It offers a number of robust features, including:

Customizable chat protocols - Choose the protocol that best suits your business's needs and server capabilities. The app also provides tools to customize the look and feel of your chats.

Conversations - The app allows for group chats of up to 2000 people and personal 1:1 chats. Chats are searchable and allow for file attachments. It also provides a 'dark mode' which can be used for private conversations and team chats.

Tasks - The app can create and assign tasks straight within your chat groups, with reminders that keep you updated. It can also convert conversations into tasks and show them in a Kanban or Gantt chart view for a more complete overview of project work.

Chats that are converted into tasks can be viewed in other Zenkit Suite apps as well, for example in Zenkit Base and Zenkit To Do. This helps with avoiding context switches, and provides a more complete view of all work across the team.
